Establishing ICT infrastructure at RUPP
Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) is Cambodia’s oldest and one of the largest public universities in the country with two campuses. One of RUPP’s goal’s is to become a leading institution in providing research, consultancy and community services. Attainment this goal is constrained by insufficient resources, unaffordable, unreliable and inadequate connectivity and a lack of ICT infrastructure and equipment. To realise this goal, RUPP in collaboration with SPIDER and DSV will upgrade and expand the IT infrastructure over a period of 3 years.
Activities
- A technical audit to assess in what state is the art, will inform the implementation plan of building the ICT Data Backbone/IT infrastructure for RUPP in order to enable all stakeholders access and exchange knowledge, services and information.
- Connect both campuses to one data center.
- Build the capacity of the IT staff to manage and coordinate the expanding infrastructure and growing digital needs at RUPP.
